BRIDGE initiative releases its 2024 brochure: advancing smart grids, energy storage, islands and digitalisation
The BRIDGE initiative has released its 2024 brochure. This updated version features more appealing visuals that analyse the impact of the initiative since 2015: the number of projects has increased by 763% from the initial period representing some€1.6 billion in EU funding.
The brochure gives a detailed description of EU-funded projects (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe) that strive to find innovative solutions in the fields of smart grids, energy storage, islands, and digitalisation. The community now encompasses 183 projects, with 105 currently active, bringing together over 2,237 partners from 38 countries.
The brochure contains factsheets on all the active projects with detailed information on context, scope, impact, technical implementation, participating organisations and geographical reach. They are designed to inform stakeholders, policymakers and industry leaders about the impact of these innovative projects and to provide them with insights for a sustainable and resilient energy future.
